Rotterdam 🐼
Rotterdam, a vibrant and dynamic city, rises like a phoenix from the ashes, boasting modern architecture and a bustling port. This city is a testament to resilience and innovation, with highlights like the striking Erasmus Bridge, the modern Markthal, and the stunning views from the Euromast. A haven for art lovers, food enthusiasts, and adventure seekers, Rotterdam offers an urban experience that’s both cutting-edge and rich in culture.
The 1st liquor store started to sell SHUNTUN Baijiu imported by P.A.N.D.A is from Rotterdam. The liquor store is called Library of Spirits(Abbr.: LoS). I found this liquor store on google map in the middle of November 2023, and I visited the liquor store with Velynne Ji. Owner of LoS is a Dutch Turkish guy with an open mindset, and a man of his word, because the liquor store is like a library, a great collection of spirits.

Cocktail of the Day
- Baigroni - A new cocktail inspired by Negroni, a classic Italian cocktail from Florence, a perfect blend of gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, garnished with an orange peel for a balance of bitter and sweet flavors. According to Sergii’s mixological philosophy, Baigroni honours the classical drink in the past.
- Baiquiri - A new cocktail inspired by Daiquiri, a classic Cuban cocktail made with rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup, known for its refreshing and crisp citrus flavor. According to Sergii’s idea, Baiquiri is one more step ahead or Baigroni with not only the respect to the classics but or also the new evolutionary pursuit of balance of aroma and taste.

Notably, Weesp was involved in the defense against the French invasion in the 18th century and has a rich history related to the Dutch Golden Age. Historically, there were over 4o jenever distilleries in Weesp, producing jenever for the sailors on the expedition to Asia facilitated by VOC, the Dutch East India Company.

2 weeks ago, I made appointment with the owner of a liquor store in Veenendaal, so I left for Veenendaal from the cycling camping ground of Wieler Cafe via Leersum. In Leersum, I stopped by Liquor Store King William, which is a liquor store with almost 500 years history, in a building connected to the church in the town center. This is a successful day, because I showed Baijiu to both owners of liquor stores in Leersum and Veenendaal. Further works are left to be done.
