More Information

Background

Baijiu, a traditional Chinese distilled spirit, remains relatively unknown outside China. Hans Ngo Wurfbain, through his remarkable efforts cycling across the Netherlands with bottles of Baijiu, has managed to place this unique spirit on the shelves of liquor stores in 37 Dutch cities. During this journey, 29 innovative Baijiu cocktails have been crafted by local bartenders.

However, curiosity abounds. People ask questions such as:
1. What does Baijiu production involve?
2. Is it true that Chinese people eat everything?
3. What is nightlife like in China?

To answer these and more, P.A.N.D.A is proud to launch the 1st Edition of the P.A.N.D.A Baijiu Cocktail Game, where the winner will have the opportunity to explore China firsthand.

Vision - CLUES Initiative

The opening line of one of China’s most celebrated literary works, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, states:
“The empire, long divided, must unite; long united, must divide. Thus has it ever been.”

Today, the world seems to have entered a new era of cultural isolation. Rising nationalism and its evolution into global threats and crises—be it the aftermath of COVID-19, trade wars, or regional conflicts—have disrupted the progress of human civilization.

In response, P.A.N.D.A is launching the CLUES Initiative, which aims to foster mutual understanding and trust among different nations, cultures, and civilizations through cultural exchange. This initiative envisions creating relationships based on trust and collaboration to share the fruits of collective efforts.
CLUES, an acronym for Contact, Listening, Understanding, Empowering, and Sharing, was introduced by Hans Ngo Wurfbain during a conference on international conflict resolution organised by Swiss China Association in the Headquarter of United Nations Geneva in June 2023. Hans believes these principles form the cornerstone of resolving all conflicts. Accordingly, in 2025, P.A.N.D.A’s mission will focus on “Contact”, forging meaningful connections.

The video is created in National Genever Museum in Schiedam on 3rd Jan 2025.
